Saturday, December 1, 2012, was the birthday anniversary of two members of our family. Nancy Bennett celebrated 61 years with Gary, Al and I at Ruby Tuesdays in Lancaster.

We had a delightful evening catching up on all the news of her active family, and reliving the grand time we had last Thanksgiving.

We stopped in to their home afterwards to see the Christmas tree they had just set up.

When we got home, I found photos on Facebook that Jill Staggert had posted of Jacob’s tenth birthday celebration.

Of course, there were presents, too.

Brother Ben was there, also, to add to the fun.

Jill is planning to fly to Europe this week and expects to have dinner with Elly in London on Tuesday, December 4. Elly sent us an e-mail last week with lots of news about her trip to Scotland last month, with photos taken there and at the Thanksgiving dinner she hosted for friends and classmates.

They expect to finish their semester on December 17, and spend Christmas in Paris. She will be returning to Lancaster on January 5 in time for their final semester at Georgetown Law Center. What an exciting life!
