On Saturday, June 15, 2013, Al and I celebrated our sixty-seventh wedding anniversary with dinner at the home in Lancaster of Nancy and Gary Bennett.

It was a fun time talking about the latest family news, and listening to Al tell his stories.

We had a delicious steak dinner, and another memorable evening.

The next day was Father’s Day, and we enjoyed a visit from Suzy and Fran Talarowski from Havertown. Andy and Meghan are still emptying boxes after their recent move into their new /old house, and we learned about Suzy’s shoulder surgery scheduled for Friday, June 21, 2013.

David called as usual on Sunday evening, and we received many great cards celebrating both events.

It was a very happy weekend, and we are so grateful for all the joys that the many years have brought to us and our wonderful family.

On Saturday, June 8, 2013, Nancy Bennett drove me to the Generations Restaurant in Media, PA to the Bridal Shower for Amanda Hutterer, who will marry Geoff Bennett on September 1, 2013.

It was a surprise for Amanda, who was expecting a twenty-fourth birthday luncheon for Elly Bennett and friends.

Amanda’s mother, Cindy, is one of five sisters, so there were many aunts and cousins present.

Geoff’s family was also represented by sister-in-law Rachel Lassman and cousin Meghan Talarowski.

Amanda’s attendants will include Ashley Miller, cousin; Lindsey Hutterer, half sister; a three year old cousin, flower girl; Elly; and Jen, a friend, head bridesmaid.

After a delicious luncheon there were several shower games, and many great gifts.

I especially enjoyed being part of such a happy family occasion. Amanda is the perfect bride for Geoff, and apparently is equally loved by her family.

Nancy and I left for home about 2:30, pleased with how well the first blending of the two families progressed, and looking forward to the wedding weekend.
